NBA Draft Dreams

The NBA Draft is tonight in NYC.  The dreams of a few dozen young men will be made and broken.

Who will be drafted first?  Will the Knicks and Nets needs be addressed?  Some but not all.  In the meantime, the Nets appear to have cleared another hurdle to move to Brooklyn.  This will help them get LeBron next year as Jay-Z is a minority owner of the Nets.  More on LeBron in a future post.

Fingers crossed that Syracuse’s Johnny Flynn lands with a team and is able to contribute right away.  I’ll miss him at the Cuse but wish him well.  Let’s go Orange!

Without giving too much play to the corporate welfare aspect of the deal, BIll N. predicts the Nets will be start playing in Brooklyn the same there is an East Side Subway.

    Bill,
Tough call.  I thought there would be a Martian Space Colony before the Second Avenue Subway.
Best to Jen and the kids.

Tank, i watched the first 12 picks of NBA draft last eve (enjoyable commentary from panel); I cannot believe that Minnesota took 2 point guards with picks 5 and 6.  The Minnesota brass is seemingly estupido, but great for Orange's Jonny Flynn.   The Knicks fans roundly boo'd the Knicks' top pick - what rude, poor behavior.
