The San Diego Chargers traded Antonio Cromartie to the Jets for a third round pick. Is he the answer? No, but he can help Jets especially in coverage and provide balance to Revis.
Cromatrie has reportedly fathered at least seven children with six women in five states. Given his off the field distractions, can Rex Ryan turn Cromatrie around? If anyone can, it’s Rex. Cromatrie has also had hip issues and didn’t make a key tackle in the AFC Divisional Round playing against the Jets. Cromatrie needs to ship up or no one will sign him after his contract ends in 2010.
Who knows if there will be a season in 2011 but we’ll cover that bridge when we get there. I do think there will be a season as both sides too much to lose. The owners will try to extend the season. I think players would be willing to negotiate away high salaries for rookie draft picks in return for more job and salary security.
The free agency market began on Friday at midnight. There have been lots going on. The Redskins dumped ten players. The Bills got rid of TO. The Giants should go after WR Brandon Marshall but the Seahawks but beat them to the punch.
